C.P.M. Machines

Delivered to Your Home.

Your doctor may have prescribed for you to receive a rehabilitation device post surgical. This device is called a Continuous Passive Motion Device

A Continuous Passive Motion machine (CPM) gently moves a surgically repaired joint (knee, shoulder, elbow, ankle, wrist, fingers and greater toe) in order to help keep the joint flexible and lubricated. CPM machines have been shown to:

- reduce swelling
- reduce pain
- maintain and increase Range of Motion
- inhibit formation of scar tissue

A patient’s joint, while placed in a CPM machine, moves in a comfortable, slow and rhythmic pattern. By increasing the fluid movement around the repaired joint, the CPM will reduce swelling and reduce pain.

The continuous motion helps to keep the joint flexible and helps to increase the patient’s range of motion, reducing the risk of complications.
